painting the wig head

Here's another progress pic for the statue!
here, we have a wig head bought at Hobby Lobby and painted with a mixture that I will explain in a minute. My friend and I painted this together and got paint everywhere.
Here's how I made the mixture I used to paint the wig head:
I added great big heaps of Plaster of Paris to a cup of water, then I put some Elmer's glue in it. I then mixed two different shades of acrylic paint and added that.
My mistakes in making the mixture:
I should've used clear glue for a shinier finish to the head.
I had two shades of paint: dark yellow-ish tan and more brownish tan. I should've used more of the normal brown tan.
I should've bought watercolor paint instead of acrylic.
